This short film is based on a true story and so the end has been already decided which means a film about how to move towards a pre-designated end with an interesting beginning and possibly a beautiful mid-act.
Well, it is all about educating the illiterates. Four careless students happen to meet a boy in their college canteen and he is the one who brings great change in their lives. As he meets up with these four students, he expresses his dream of teaching the illiterates and expectedly, the students show not much interest. But one fine day, when they get a call from him asking them to visit him in a park, they come to know that he has really started his teaching with one student. An Old Woman! That starts as funny but it was not carried out well.
After that it progresses like a documentary and well, when it ends up it gives us a feeling of satisfaction for the noble thought that it has created among every student. Instead of resorting to extraordinary methods for creating awareness, the film has sought the help of simple resources. It is feeling good as well. The best part of the film is that this great idea has stemmed out of a student working in a college canteen. It is touching!
Otherwise, the camera work is neat enough and the music and editing is clear cut. Being a true film, the documentary feel could have been avoided but not done. The students have done their part just like students. They are convincing!
In all, A good documentary film, this is!
