Eesal is a film about the shortest life of humans. A much used concept is tried in a different way here.
Two pairs of lovers and the unexpected destiny is the concept. While one pair wants to live forever the other pair is a desperate mood to split and even death is accepted as a solution. When the male partners of these two pairs meet with an accident, the one that wants to live dies while the other that wants to die lives. Ironic life is what this film wants to say!
In the first pair the girl suspects and the boy wants to die. In the second both the boy and the girl are in a state of total love (it is being conveyed through dialogue only) and want to live forever. But the film is made in a non-linear fashion and the repetition of the accident scene makes it rather a statement than a film of touching quality. It could have worked well in a feature of full length but in a short film where the time is short, there need not be a repetition as it wastes the screen time. Instead this valuable time could have been spent on the love itself.
Otherwise, the film is well made. The artists are good in their part and especially the girl who suspects love has shown great control on her emotions. The boy who actually dies is blossoming in love feelings. The music is well choreographed with his emotions.
Editing is smooth. Cinematography is great. In spite of everything, the theme looks like a statement rather than a short beautiful film which it should have been. It is because the non-linear structure disturbs the free flowing of the story.

The movie story is the apt explanation for the title!!!!
but I feel the movie is so splitted… not so continuous and we dont have the feel of watching a movie.. hardly there are very few scenes…
