2 Idli 2 Vadai
 says: This is another lovely short film. So simple is the plot and so interesting is the presentation that you are engaged throughout the film. Though it is a narration, the narration is being kept to a bare minimum and the actual events flow faultlessly like a river. The scenes look so real.
Five students and a college canteen worker constitute the main characters and the relationship between the students and the worker is explored through touching incidents. Azagar, the worker’s fatherly love is so touchy and he represents a universal human being that is present everywhere and not quite noticed by one and all. They get their satisfaction by being what they are. His character is simply wonderful. Special mention needs to be told about the slangs used by the characters and the controlled acting shows that the director is quite capable of making it into big screens as well. The Cinematography is at its best and the film’s mood is thoroughly conveyed through the cinematography alone. The color scheme selected by the cinematographer is elevating the film to great standards. And the light and shadow brings out lots of emotive content as well. The music is good and could have been better. Editing, Costumes, Art, Mixing… all are perfect. The film shows much maturity and the making is excellent. Azagar is showing wonderful emotions and he almost transforms himself like a God Father. The boys have supported him nicely. And the only thing that seems to be missing is the college background. Just one long shot would have made this film a perfect bet for a top spot. Added to this, there is a beautiful fall out at the end. It rings college bells to everyone who watches this film.
